Egypt's Al-Ahly football club won today against Morocco's Wydad Casablanca in the final of the 2023 African Champions League, after a 1-1 draw in the return match. In the first leg, Al-Ahly won 2-1, securing their 11th African continent championship title. Wydad remains with only three titles in their history.
Al-Ahly is the most successful African club in the African Champions League with 11 titles, followed by Zamalek with five titles, then TP Mazembe from Congo with five titles, then Tunisian club Esperance with four titles, and finally Wydad from Morocco with three titles.
