Court bars DOGE officials from altering Treasury payment records

The U.S. DOGE Service, the group run by billionaire Elon Musk, is facing new lawsuits and court orders in its attempts to wrest control over various government agencies. In one action on Thursday, a judge issued an order allowing only two named DOGE officials to have access to a Treasury Department system that makes billions of dollars in annual payments on behalf of the government. One of those staffers resigned Thursday after racist posts he made resurfaced.

Later in the day, President Donald Trump signed an executive order to create a task force to “eradicate anti-Christian bias.” Trump said the group will be charged with attempting “to immediately halt all forms of anti-Christian targeting and discrimination within the federal government.”
